What the Heck

What the heck did I just step in?
Gramma Denise at Burgess Ranch where
there is always a cow pie lurking in the shadows.

He was always such a good seedling his mother said but he
developed a big head later in life.

Red Leaf Lettuce

Red Leaf Lettuce (I'm switching from flowers to vegetables for a while)
Every chef needs this inspiration hanging in their kitchen!

Fruit Salad

I don't know why, but this painting reminds me
of fruit salad.  Maybe it's the color combination.

Cameras

I still have my first cameras, although I haven't used them since digital
cameras became available.  I purchased the Kodak Instamatic 104 at
the PX at Fort Bragg, NC, in February, 1967 and used it to take
photos during parachute jumps.  I purchased the Fujica half frame
camera at the Tuy Hoa, AFB exchange in September 1967 and used it
during my year and a half in Vietnam.  I purchased the Canon AV-1 in
1976 and used it to take all of our family photos and other subjects until
1992 when I was able to get my hands on the first crude digital model.  I use
a Canon 12.3 megapixel EOS Rebel now and a Canon S5IS (which I used to
take all of my sons's wedding photos).  I used the heck out of the old cameras
but the digital cameras make photography a real joy.

The Pink Petunia

The Pink Pink Petunia - watercolor 5x7
(sounds like the name of a yuppie dink juice bar
instead of a watercolor painting)

Our little boy Ernest has to have his

this himself.

Cigar

One of my son's clients gave him a box of
Fonseca  Churchill Cigars made in Dom. Rep.
and he gave me one.  I am waiting for some
good weather so I can dedicate a good 2 hours on my
front deck with a fine cigar.
