Warren had the barber shop
In his sleepy western town
It’s where the village men would stop
It was the busiest place around

Warren wore his hair slicked down
With the latest oil and goo
But the other men in town
Wore the latest wet look doo

The son’s of the village men
Watched Warren cut their hair
They got a token for the “Five and Ten”
If they sat quiet in their chair

He was the barber of the Ville
It was Warren’s stock and trade
He had that special skill
And the newest wax pomade

True Detective, Sports Afield and Argosy
Made the hair cut wait worth the while
Magazines you could browse for free
Were on a wooden table in a pile
